Higgins Shipping Cradle

I have designed the 'A' frame style shipping cradle for the Elco Model and then adapted it to suit the Higgins 1/20th scale 78' Hull.

The Higgins hull sitting on the cradle. certainly makes working on the deck easier, much more stable and I think it looks cool!

The complete cradle, note I didn't put wheels on this, some had three sets of wheels and some didn't. The black parts are laser cut polypropylene fibre board.

The Base Frame, I had to alter the Elco design so that the cross members sit directly under the Higgins hull frames and bulkheads.

There is also a Higgins designed cradle which I will detail later.
